Rupert Lowe’s Restore Britain Registered as Political Party – Ready for Elections

By a Staff Correspondent | March 20, 2026

This evening, the newly launched political party Restore Britain, led by MP Rupert Lowe, has been officially registered with the Electoral Commission. This registration enables the party to stand candidates in elections across Great Britain.

Restore Britain was launched five weeks ago today (on 13 February 2026) as a national political party, having initially begun as a political movement in mid-2025. In a remarkably short time, it has attracted 115,000 members and secured the support of 15 councillors.

As of last Saturday (14 March 2026), Restore Britain overtook the Conservatives in membership size, making it the fourth-largest political party in Britain by membership numbers.

It remains unclear whether Restore Britain will contest the upcoming local elections in May.
