Earlier today, it was reported that Mahyar Tousi’s media team was arrested in France while filming a documentary on Europe’s illegal migrant crisis. The crew, which included prominent British activist Nicholas Lissack as the presenter, was detained for eight hours before being released without charge.
Following their release, the team received an apology from both the French police and the judge involved in the case. It was also alleged that French police had initially misled Tousi TV’s lawyers by claiming that Nicholas Lissack had already been released when he had not.
Tousi TV issued the following statement after their release:
“Every member of our Tousi TV team has finally been released by the French authorities after 8 hours without charge. We have also received an apology from the police and the judge in France. Tousi TV will continue the fight for truth.”
