The Conservative Party has gained the Aberdeen South seat from the SNP in a parliamentary by-election.
The contest was triggered by the resignation of former SNP MP Stephen Flynn after he won a seat in the Scottish Parliament in May.
Results (with changes from 2024):
- Conservatives: 14,308 (+3,008)
- SNP: 8,258 (−6,955)
- Reform UK: 2,478 (−721)
- Labour: 1,550 (−9,905)
- Liberal Democrats: 1,270 (−1,651)
- Green Party: 974 (−635)
This represents a significant swing to the Conservatives in the constituency.
